We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, address) and information generated by your use of our service (bookings, messages, reviews, transaction history).
We use your information to operate the rental marketplace, process payments, facilitate communication between users, send transactional notifications, and improve our service.
We share information with counterparties in rental transactions (owners and renters), payment processors (Stripe), and as required by law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored on our servers. We only store payment method tokens and transaction identifiers necessary to manage your account.
We use cookies for authentication (secure httpOnly cookie for session management) and to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
To understand how people move through the site — for example, whether visitors find search easily, or where they abandon signing up — we record a small set of predefined interface events: which page was viewed, which of a fixed list of actions occurred, and the language of the interface.
These events are grouped using a random identifier that exists only in your browser's memory for the current tab. It is never written to your device, so no cookie or similar storage is used for analytics, and it is discarded when you reload or close the tab. If you are signed in, the events are linked to your account so we can understand how the service is used end to end.
We do not record your IP address, your device details, or anything you type — search terms are removed before an event is stored. We use no third-party analytics or advertising service, and this data is never sold or shared.
We process this on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the service. You may object to it at any time by contacting us. Individual event records are deleted after 90 days; beyond that we keep only anonymous daily totals that cannot be linked to any person or session. If you request account deletion, your events are unlinked from your account.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained as required by law. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request data portability or restrict processing in certain circumstances. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, password hashing, and security headers. However, no system is completely secure.
